My Darling's Birthday...
“It is a mistake to regard age as a downhill grade toward dissolution. The reverse is true. As one grows older, one climbs with surprising strides.” - George Sand
A day before Ant’s birthday, I went to Secret Recipe and requested for a 12 different types of cakes to make into a big cake. I have selected:
1. Blueberry Cheese
2. Baked Cheese
3. Cheese Chocolate
4. Chocolate Cheese
5. Cappuccino Cheese
6. New York Cheese
7. Raspberry Cheese
8. Apple Rumble Cheese
9. Chocolate Banana
10. Chocolate Fudge
11. Chocolate Mocha
12. Moist Chocolate
The salesperson at Secret Recipe was very sweet and carefully arranged the 12 slices of cake into a round big cake. I carried the ‘cake’ home and kept it in the fridge. When the clock struck 12am on 13 September 2007, I carried the cake into my room and sang birthday song. The birthday boy was sleeping. He went wide awake and grinned. It was a beautiful sight to see the light in his eyes. His excitement is my pleasure. He made a wish and blew the candles.
He tasted 2 types of cake and then the rest of the cake; he wanted to try them later on for breakfast, lunch and supper. He took a day off on his birthday. This lazy Darling of mine thinks that he should not work during his birthday. He should just relax and have fun. I took half day off as well to accompany him.
I packed lunch for Ant when I came back home and he enjoyed a few slices of his cake. It is actually good to have cakes this way. You can actually try many, many type of flavours in a cake. Good idea, huh? *grins* Here are a few pictures of his cakes…
At around 4.30pm, we made our way to Jogoya Restaurant at Starhill Gallery, Kuala Lumpur for his birthday dinner celebration. My diet went down the drain. Oh well, once in a year, I guess I can afford that. *grinning* An excuse to eat my brain out! *laugh out loud*
Ant enjoyed his dinner so much and the price that I paid for the birthday dinner was worth it. The buffet was sumptuous and delightful. We tried almost everything. We took things in a small portion so that we can try different varieties there. The environment was good, the service was good… I guess I have selected a good place to celebrate his birthday.
Ant’s tummy swelled like a big pumpkin at the end of the dinner. He looked so cute with his big round tummy.
It was a good day. Ant was happy during his birthday. I wish my Darling Ant, many, many happiness and many, many happy returns. I wish him every year has this special day. I wish him joy, laughter and peace in his life. I wish him ‘long life’, wish him a very healthy life and always in the pinkest of health. I wish him a lifetime of success and prosperity.
I love this man so much. Happy Birthday, Ant. I hope you are a very happy man on 13 September 2007.
More surprises next year, huh… *grins*
